Business Analyst, Shared Services

Location: Washington, DC Metro Area

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate closely with fellow team members to provide research, data analytics, and administrative support for project deliverables and timelines.
  • Support leadership in monitoring and reporting on key project indicators.
  • Synthesize the overall strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions, selecting the most relevant tools and techniques to meet the client requirements, and interpreting and reporting on outputs.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of consulting and/or related industry experience is required.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Creativity, self-confidence, and flexibility.
  • Ability to juggle multiple simultaneous efforts.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
  • Eagerness to mentor junior staff.
  • Interest in transforming and improving federal mission support/back office functions through consolidation, outsourcing, shared services, or centers of excellence (e.g. human resources, information technology, finance, and procurement).
  • Understanding of federal financial, HR, technology or other mission support processes.
  • Knowledge of how organizational design, processes, and technology integrate within an organization to support the mission.
  • Experience in conducting workforce planning, business case analyses, and/or feasibility assessments preferred.
  • Commitment to high professional ethical standards.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area required.
  • Strong undergraduate academic performance.

Consultant/Senior Consultant, Shared Services

Location: Washington, DC Metro Area

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate closely with fellow team members and integrate across work streams to support project deliverables and timelines.
  • Participate in setting project objectives and as well helping to resolve project issues and risks in a timely, effective manner.
  • Support the Team Lead in monitoring and reporting on key project indicators, including financial and schedule metrics.
  • Understand the fundamental solution being developed and lead junior associates through day-to-day oversight, guidance, goal-settings, and performance reviews.
  • Synthesize the overall strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions, selecting the most relevant tools and techniques to meet the client requirements, and interpreting and reporting on outputs.
  • Serve as the first line of review for completeness and quality of project deliverables.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Consultants: Minimum of 2 years of consulting and/or related industry experience is required.
  • Senior Consultants: Minimum of 5 years of consulting and/or related industry experience is required.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ability to juggle multiple simultaneous efforts.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
  • Eagerness to mentor junior staff.
  • Ability to lead meetings and drive groups to consensus.
  • Experience transforming and improving federal mission support/back office functions through consolidation, outsourcing, shared services, or centers of excellence (e.g. human resources, information technology, finance, and procurement).
  • Understanding of federal financial, HR, technology or other mission support processes.
  • Knowledge of how organizational design, processes, and technology integrate within an organization to support the mission.

Team Leader, Shared Services

Location: Washington, DC Metro Area

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team responsible for supporting several work streams on the engagement.
  • Manage project deliverables and timelines.
  • Define, understand, and manage scope changes; identify and help resolve project issues and risks in a timely, effective manner.
  • Understand, monitor, and report on key project indicators, including financial and schedule metrics.
  • Understand the fundamental solution being developed and lead junior associates through day-to-day oversight, guidance, goal-setting, and performance reviews.
  • Manage project documentation and review project deliverables for completeness and quality.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of consulting and/or related industry experience is required.
  • 6+ years serving in a supervisory capacity, including leading teams, conducting performance evaluations, and structuring/managing project work.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ability to juggle multiple simultaneous efforts.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
  • Eagerness to mentor junior staff.
  • Ability to lead meetings and drive groups to consensus.
  • Experience with managing project risk related to the delivery of support work, and managing project budgets related to that delivery.
  • Experience transforming and improving federal mission support/back office functions through consolidation, outsourcing, shared services, or centers of excellence (e.g. human resources, information technology, finance, and procurement).
  • Deep understanding of federal financial, HR, technology or other mission support processes.
  • Knowledge of how organizational design, processes, and technology integrate within an organization to support the mission.
  • Experience conducting workforce planning, business case analyses, and/or feasibility assessments preferred.
  • Commitment to high professional ethical standards.

Education:
